Spring has Sprung!

As we head into warmer weather, it's a good time to evaluate your wardrobe to determine what will go in the Goodwill bag so you can begin the fun process of planning the acquisition of a few new outfits! While shorts, tops and sandals are the everyday staple when the temperatures start soaring, it's smart to think about  what's on the calendar in the upcoming weeks and months (weddings, parties, vacations) so that you'll have plenty of time to prepare for these special occasions. If you're like I am, these things tend to sneak up on you, leaving you to dash around at the last minute, which is not only stressful, but can be hard on the wallet!

I like the colors and hemline on this silk jersey dress... perfect for a Memorial Day or Fourth of July celebration! Cute shoes too!

Brass is Big Again!

According to Elle Decor's Big in 2013, brass is the "metal of the moment" in emerging design trends for the year. Although I have always believed that brass is a timeless classic, I am excited to embrace its comeback and multitude of possibilities for potential home decorating projects in  the year ahead.

Brass accents on a high gloss enamel front door make a welcoming entry to a home.
